Last night I finally tried my hand at making mini grapes, and I love how they turned out! True, I still have a long way to go before I can achieve the ultra-realistic shading, the perfect leaves and the lusciously juicy grapes that I have seen my friends make ... but I really loved these and wanted to share the photo with you.

Grapes for celebrate the new year! This is an old tradition in Spain. Your foods are incredibles! You're a big artist of "small" things. Congratulations, MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Thank you all for the encouragement. I bought 8 of those pewter vases on eBay. Still have 7 left to experiment. I really want to make some of the purple grapes. I am making these for my big Garfield dollhouse that's under construction right now.
They are so much better than my 1st attempts at grapes! A talented foodmaker in the making! Happy 2009!
