Indian Feast ~ Kiva Atkinson


We crossed our 150th Follower this weekend, and this definitely calls for a celebration! So, get ready for a hot and spicy Indian food fest ...

Khasta Kachori (deep fried pastry with spicy filling) served with mint sauce


Curried Potatoes and Peas, Aloo Tikki (vegetarian patty of mashed potatoes, bread crumbs and spices), served with a basket of Naan Bread


Chana Masala (Chickpea Curry), Paratha (fried flat bread) served with Saffron Rice


Lamb Kebab with Mint Sauce


Kalakand, a popular type of Indian sweet, made of Indian cheese and sweetened condensed milk, topped with chopped nuts, usually pistachios and almonds


Coconut Ladoo and Besan Ladoo: coconut ladoo are grated coconut and condensed milk rolled into balls; besan ladoo are made from chickpea flour, butter (ghee), sugar and chopped nuts

Congratulations Sumaiya....so many followers because you do such a fantastic job of showing the world the talent out there. The only problem I have with you is that you keep making me so hungry!! I vowed that I wouldn't "check in" on my way to bed, but I've done it again & now I'm craving some of Kiva's wonderful Indian foods!
